Sheep in Bryant Park – the Campaign for Wool
The first notice about the Campaign for Wool’s event in Bryant Park came to me via Knitty City. The day was loads of fun! Sheep on the lawn in the park – a rare treat, indeed, to see livestock in the midst of the city. Any chance to trot the hat I made a few years ago to wear to the Easter Hat Parade is a fun day for moi-meme! You’ll find a few photos of it strewn across the web (perhaps on the blog of the guy whose elbow you see in this shot as he snaps a photo) and on the Vogue Knitting Blog.
Here’s Pearl Chin from Knitty City. If you haven’t yet had a chance to meet her, swing on by the store and introduce yourself to one of the great supporters of people learning to do beautiful things with yarn.
Sahara Briscoe is quite the fiber woman: if you ever get the chance to learn spinning from her, grab that opportunity.
