Knitting Step 1: An Introduction to the Time-Honored Tradition

Knitting Step 2: For Intermediate and Advanced Students

Crochet:  An Exploration of the Basics

Knitting and Crochet classes taught by Lisa Daehlin at Cooper Union, Astor Place, NYC; Summer 2010

Techniques covered in these classes include:  basic and advanced knitting and crochet skills, pattern reading, decorative and textural stitches and edgings, broomstick and hairpin lace and tapestry crochet, as well as incorporating wire and beads.  Full COURSE DESCRIPTIONS and TO REGISTER

While I’m not categorically stating that these classes will lead to JEDI KNIGHTHOOD, I must say that the bolt of light bouncing off the dome right outside our classroom window can’t be without meaning. That’s what these classes are about: finding MEANING in the stitches (rhyme, reason, loops through loops, it’s all good).
