Musical Offerings: Oysters a la Porter and Babbling Brooks of Grieg… Water is Life-Kenya
Musical Offerings Concert to benefit Kenya Water is Life Sunday, May 23rd, 2010
Gustavus Adolphus Church – 122 East 22nd Street, New York City map
Our goal is to raise $14,000 to help with the building of the Imbirikani Risa Meshenani pipline. This would ‘buy and build’ a mile of the 35 mile pipeline. Additional information about Joyce’s work can be found at www.kenyawaterislife.com. It’s important to note that what makes her organization unique is that not only is it grassroots but Joyce is on the ground in Kenya making real time decisions. This is very significant and different from many other charity organizations.
Tickets are $25 (children 10 and under free) and can be purchased at the door with cash or check.

Lisa’s note: my small contribution to this wonderful organization is lending my voice to this, our SECOND ANNUAL CONCERT. I’ll be singing Cole Porter’s Tale of the Oyster and Edvard Grieg’s At the Brookside from the Haugtussa song cycle. Thankful for water, this is the least I can do. Come to the concert, bask in the glow of many performers sharing songs, poetry, TAP DANCE.
